SENDING YOUR FILES TO ME:
1 - Flag or Rate the Images you’ve chosen to edit for my reference
2 - In Lightroom, select the images you wish to export
3 - Select File _ Export as Catalog
4 - Check the following boxes:
* Export Selected Photos Only
* Build/Include Smart Previews
* Include Available Previews
5 - UNCHECK THE FOLLOWING BOX:
* Export Negative Files
6 - Export to your computer where it will be easy for you to find.
7 - Go to that location on your computer and make sure these 3 files are present: There should be a Lightroom Catalog file, a Smart Previews file, and a Previews file
8- Upload these 3 files to a Dropbox folder, then share that folder with my email address - firstname.lastname@example.org
when you receive your files back from me:
1 - I will share a Dropbox link with you. There will be a Zip file located there with your Lightroom Catalog files inside.
2 - Download the file to your computer, then click on it to “unzip” it.
3 - Open Lightroom
4 - Click File _ Import from another catalog
5- Select the Lightroom Catalog file you just downloaded
6 - Select - Replace: Metadata and Develop Settings Only
7- Uncheck the box that says "preserve old settings as a virtual copy"
Lightroom will import the metatdata and develop adjustements and apply them to the originials that are already present in it’s master catalog and make any appropriate changes to it’s own records for those images.
